Installation Day: What to Expect
Removing the Old Equipment
We disconnect and remove your existing condenser, air handler or evaporator coil, and refrigerant lines. If your system uses R-22 (the old Freon), we recover it according to EPA regulations. Many homes in Gueydan still run R-22 units from the early 2000s, and those systems can’t be recharged affordably anymore since production ended.
Setting Up the New System
A matched system goes in: outdoor condenser and indoor air handler or coil, connected by new refrigerant lines. We verify all electrical connections, ensure proper drainage, and seal ductwork connections. If your existing ductwork has leaks or damage, we’ll flag that before installation day so there aren’t surprises.
Commissioning and Testing
Every installation ends with a full system verification. We check refrigerant charge, airflow volume, temperature split across the evaporator, and thermostat calibration. The system doesn’t pass our inspection until it hits manufacturer specifications.
Two-Stage and Variable-Speed Options
