All three of these are affordable repairs. Replacing them proactively during an annual maintenance visit costs less than replacing them as emergency repairs during the hottest week of summer.
Repair vs. Replace in a Tough Climate
Gueydan’s harsh conditions mean AC systems here tend to reach the end of their useful life slightly sooner than identical systems in milder environments. When we’re evaluating whether a repair makes sense, we factor in the local conditions. A compressor replacement on a 12-year-old system in Gueydan might not be the best investment if the condenser coil is already showing significant corrosion. We’d rather be upfront about that than collect a repair fee knowing the system is going to need replacement within a year or two.
